Convert Word to PDF
Convert a Word (.docx) document into a PDF, right in your browser.
Processing…
Works with files up to roughly 100 MB, depending on your device's memory.
Word to PDF turns a .docx document into a shareable PDF without opening Microsoft Word or uploading your file anywhere. Upload your document and the tool reads its headings, paragraphs and bulleted or numbered lists, then rebuilds them as real, selectable text inside a new PDF — not a screenshot. This is a best-effort conversion built entirely with in-browser code: straightforward documents (reports, letters, notes, articles) convert cleanly, but this tool does not reproduce images, tables, multi-column layouts, custom fonts, headers/footers or precise page design — for documents that rely heavily on those, the layout will not match the original exactly. Only modern .docx files are supported; older .doc files aren't. As with every tool here, conversion happens entirely on your device — your document is never uploaded to a server.

Frequently asked questions
Will my Word document look identical in the PDF?
Text, headings and lists carry over well, but this is a best-effort, browser-only conversion — images, tables, multi-column layouts and exact fonts are not reproduced. For simple text documents the result is very close; for heavily designed documents it won't match exactly.
Does it support .doc files (older Word format)?
No, only the modern .docx format is supported. Save the file as .docx from Word first if needed.
Is my document uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript — your file never leaves your device.
Why doesn't this look as polished as Adobe or Word's own PDF export?
Those tools use the full Word rendering engine on a server. This tool works with no server and no cost, so it focuses on getting your text and structure into a clean PDF rather than a pixel-perfect visual copy.
